Happy Bay Beach St Martin

Happy Bay Beach St Martin lies in the northwest of the island, between Friars Bay Beach and Grand Case beach. To get there it is necessary to park the car at Friars Bay Beach. Happy Bay Beach St Martin is reached via a 10 to 15 minutes walk on an easy trail. To find the trail, walk all the way to the right hand of Friars Bay Beach facing the ocean. The trail starts very close to the last coconut tree. There is a section of trail that is a bit rocky, but then it opens to a nice small meadow and tiny signs are painted on several rocks.

Your effort getting there will be rewarded with the view of one of the breathtaking beaches of St. Martin/St. Maarten. This tropical and intimate beach has gorgeous views, a beautiful white sand and palm trees to provide shade. It’s like a dream, the perfect spot for romantic beach lovers, snorkelers and weekenders. There are scenic volcanic rocks on each side of the bay and the views of the neighbouring island of Anguilla are just stunning. Probably due to it’s some what difficult access, very few people go to this beach and you will see and feel how sensational it is to own your own private beach. The sand is remarkably soft and clean, wide and expansive. This beach is often used, together with Le Gallion Beach, for camping during holidays such as Easter and Christmas.

Currently there are no amenities available at Happy Bay Beach St Martin, so be sure to bring any snacks and drinks you might need. Although there is, once in a while, a local guy who sells some cold beverages from his cooler. Make sure not to forget your snorkeling gear as Happy Bay Beach is considered one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. Bring your own trash bags with you and take everything back as no cleaning is provided, help to keep it a natural beauty.
