Although St. Martin / St. Maarten is one island, the two territories are very different. French Saint Martin has some of the most chic shops and boutiques in the Caribbean. Stunning beaches elegant enough to rival those in Cannes and St Tropez stretch the northern territories. Dutch Sint Maarten is better known for its world famous casinos and gaming venues. Luxurious cruise liners are a common backdrop for many photos. These giant floating hotels frequently dock in Philipsburg, the capital of Dutch Sint Maarten, packed full with excited passengers eager to explore the island.
