Long Bay Beach St Martin

Long Bay Beach St Martin is also known as and spelt Baie Longue, Longue Bay and Long Beach. It is part of Terres Basses, the Lowlands, on St Martin’s south western tip. Long Bay Beach St Martin is part of the island’s undisputed wealthy and glamorous neighbourhood. Not far from the beach you can expect to find huge estate homes and villas hidden behind giant gates and tall walls. Many of the rich and famous have homes in this area, often frequenting the beaches in this area, including Long Bay.

As the name implies, this is the longest beach on the island. It is also one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on St Martin. Long Bay Beach St Martin is naturally charming, with its stunning turquoise waters and long stretch of soft white sand; true paradise at its best. Swimming in the warm Caribbean Sea is bliss. It is possible to snorkel here too, although there is not much coral. The beach in never crowded and be suited to those who prefer the peace and tranquility.

Saint Martin’s most exclusive 5 star resort, La Samanna, is situated at the most southern end of the beach and has accommodated many celebrities over the years. Constantly ranked among the region’s top ten hotel retreats, La Samanna is a garden paradise in which to enjoy an al fresco massage, or lie in a hammock, lulled by the waves.

Scattered along the full length of Long Bay you can expect to find some of the most expensive real estate on the island. Overlooking this picturesque bay sits million-dollar homes, each with amazing views out to sea and beyond.

Access onto the beach is possible from the southern end, next to La Samanna Resort, and also from the northern end. You will need to bring your own supplies to Long Bay Beach St Martin because there are no facilities. No watersports, vendors or bars. But then that is all part of the beauty and attraction of Long Bay. It is the most romantic sunset sport for couples.
