Plum Bay St Martin

A quiet and secluded beach, Plum Bay St Martin is the perfect destination if you are looking to escape the crowds and more built up areas. During the week Plum Bay St Martin receives very little visitors making it the perfect romantic location with lots of natural beauty. With this in mind, you would be wise to bring your own supplies of food and drink, along with an umbrella for shade if you find the midday sun a little too much to handle. There are no amenities at Plum Bay.

Plum Bay, or Baie aux Prunes in French, is situated within the French Lowlands, Terres Basses region. This area is a large expanse on the most western point of St Martin. Mainly million-dollar estates built on the surrounding rolling hills can be found here; home to the millionaires and celebrities. Two additional beaches, Baie Longue and Baie Rouge, are also within this region. Head to nearby Baie Longue and you may even be able to have a close encounter with some resident Pelicans. These pretty birds often grace the beaches in Terres Basses and receive a lot of attention from tourists who happen to be sunbathing in the area. Clothing is optional at all three of these beaches; topless bathers are a common sight along Plum Bay St Martin.

On calm days, the bayĀ is a great place to snorkel and explore the underwater world just off the shoreline. When the wind picks up, the bay becomes an adventure playground for local surfers looking to catch a wave.

Sunsets are phenomenal from Plum Bay St Martin. Consider packing a picnic mat, some tasty nibbles, bottle of champagne and find a romantic spot on the beach where you can watch the sunset. No interruptions, no noise, just you, your loved one and the beautiful Caribbean sunset in the distance.
